ConnectWise reveals cybersecurity updates and partnerships

Software company ConnectWise has unveiled new updates to its services, including an integration with SentinelOne, and highlighted the importance of cyber insurance for businesses at its IT Nation Secure conference.

ConnectWise Cybersecurity General Manager Raffael Marty says MSPs who want to create a strong cybersecurity strategy to protect themselves and their customers from threat actors need to consider and act on many critical factors.

“Everything we’ve shared, from our portfolio of integrated cybersecurity products and services, to our extensive partner program and new partnerships, is designed to simplify this process and empower MSP owners to focus on growing their business.” business while protecting their legacy,” he says. .

The company says its new partnership with ControlCase and Fifthwall Solutions provides the education, automation, and linkage rate quote assistance needed to help MSPs prepare for and purchase insurance. This means you’ll eliminate dozens of steps that they and their customers would have to take.

ConnectWise says that ControlCase has created a ConnectWise Manage app that guides the MSP through a cybersecurity assessment. When partners and customers are ready, Fifthwall Solutions will be available to provide insurance quotes from more than 35 providers.

ConnectWise says that these improvements simplify the process and lead to a higher percentage of insurable MSPs and end customers.

The company also announced another solution that already benefits from the rapid innovation and modern engineering model of its new Asio platform: ConnectWise Risk Assessment (formerly known as Fortify Assessment).

He says that while it caters to the same use cases as previous versions, this new Asio implementation is much easier to use and is suitable for MSPs in pre-sales situations. For example, this will allow MSPs to send a link to their prospect or customer who will run the assessment on their endpoint and submit a risk report based on the findings.

ConnectWise’s BrightGauge service now also features a SentinelOne integration, allowing partners to create actionable security dashboards. The company says that by combining this information with its pre-existing data, MSPs can leverage the additional data for even more powerful insights into their security operations.

ITBoost, ConnectWise’s best-in-class documentation solution, now also has a set of standard operating procedures (SOPs) that support incident response and information security policies.

ConnectWise says that new project templates in Manage, ConnectWise’s business service management solution, enable security onboarding, incident response and security alert handling. In addition to integrating security into its products, the company is also doing the opposite: integrating billing and ticketing security products into its RMM and PSA solutions.

ConnectWise Chief Information Security Officer Patrick Beggs says cybersecurity threats are evolving at an alarming rate, causing changes that will significantly affect the MSP business model.

“When it comes to combating cyber threats, everyone from MSPs to small businesses to vendors to governments need to step up their role,” he says.

“ConnectWise is upping our information security game, taking a modern approach to cybersecurity to be proactive in our operations, being aggressive when it comes to discovering application vulnerabilities before release, and defeating insider threats before they damage the integrity of the application.” organization”.

“We’re infusing those ideas across our platform and feel fortunate to have such a close-knit community to discuss these concepts at IT Nation Secure.”
