Netskope, the leader of SASE, announced that Gartner has recognized the company as a Leader in the 2022 Magic Quadrant for Security Service Edge (SSE). Netskope believes this recognition from Gartner underscores its rapid growth and global customer adoption, strategic technology vision and ability to execute behind SSE – the most significant security change of the decade.

A dramatic increase in work from anywhere and the frequency of malware delivered from the cloud are among trends that were already underway for businesses before the global pandemic accelerated them further. With these trends, architectural change in security and networking is rapidly taking hold and enterprises are leaving behind outdated technologies and legacy vendors to adopt SSE, the critical security capabilities for the Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) architecture of the future. . Gartner has stated that “by 2025, at least 60% of enterprises will have explicit strategies and timelines for SASE adoption spanning user, branch and edge access, up from 10% in 2020.[1]

Security Service Edge (SSE), as defined by Gartner, [2] “secure access to the web, cloud services and private applications. Capabilities include access control, threat protection, data security, security monitoring, and acceptable use control enforced by API and web-based integration. SSE is primarily delivered as a cloud-based service and may include on-premises or agent-based components.

As companies transform their legacy IT infrastructure and move applications and data to the cloud, security must transform as well. Netskope Security Cloud delivers SSE through a comprehensive platform of cloud-native technologies that enable secure business digital transformation and secure work-from-anywhere connectivity using Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Secure Web Gateway (SWG) and Zero Trust Network Access. (ZTNA), with Remote Browser Isolation (RBI) and Cloud Firewall included as well. Netskope’s architecture also includes NewEdge, the world’s fastest growing and most connected private cloud, enabling fast and secure access from any location to data, applications and websites wherever they reside.

“Netskope was founded on the belief that the rapid adoption of cloud applications by IT and end users, the transformation of general Internet and local access to be from anywhere on any device, and the asset not A company’s most valuable human being, with the company’s data, would transform the company’s perimeter into a virtual security edge. Our view has always been that security must be able to move with people and data wherever they go, and take context into account to protect that data wherever and whenever it is accessed,” said Sanjay Beri, CEO of Netskope . “SSE, as the security stack that enables SASE, describes exactly what Netskope already offers to businesses and governments around the world. We are extremely proud and exceptionally validated, both in the strength of our vision and our ability to execute, that Gartner has recognized Netskope as a Leader in this inaugural Magic Quadrant for SSE.”

A security architect in the manufacturing industry states: “Netskope is the most innovative and customer-focused SASE provider on the market. Netskope completely convinced us as the best SASE provider for large enterprises, from the RFP to the implementation phase. They demonstrated strong product security and compliance through a very tough due diligence process. We rapidly deployed the Netskope Agent globally to over 200,000 customers and migrated from a traditional on-premises proxy infrastructure to Netskope SWG, with TLS Interception. This enabled our employees to work from home quickly, securely and efficiently. The Netskope team has been very responsive and dedicated all the time.”

An IT security manager in the service industry states: “Netskope has great visibility after an easy implementation. After looking at several different CASBs many years ago, I chose Netskope. We have integrated Netskope into many of our production applications. In 2021, we rolled out the desktop agent to increase visibility into remote laptops. The implementation of both solutions was extremely good and has given better results than expected”.

An IT security engineer in the financial industry. states: “Netskope has been a great addition to our environment in giving us visibility into the cloud applications in our environment as well as data security. The DLP detection mechanism it uses is amazing what it can do.”

Perimeter and cloud security manager in the manufacturing industry states, “Moving to Netskope SWG from another leading NextGen SWG was the right choice for us. We have worked with another cloud-based NextGen SWG provider before switching to Netskope. The migration itself was well prepared using Netskope Professional Services and was mostly seamless for the end user. We also implemented their Netskope Desktop Client at launch, which adds more security to our devices by enforcing 24/7 use of Netskope, regardless of whether a user is connected to our corporate network. or directly to the Internet.

A chief information and technology officer in the financial industry states, “Our organization was on a digital transformation journey and we were looking for cloud-native providers to help us migrate the traditional solution-native approach to the cloud. With COVID, our thought process became clear to adopt cloud solution providers. We finalized Netskope based on the current and future capabilities of the same platform.”

An IT services, infrastructure and operations professional in the services industry states: “Productivity and security follow the user wherever they go. Netskope’s ability to discover SaaS-based applications and its ability to provide granular controls, even in the off-the-shelf version, is much better than its closest competitor.”

A leading security advisor in the financial industry states: “Netskope is a one-stop shop for cloud security. Being a single platform for all my SASE needs, it makes more sense and value for money. Also, the support I receive from the team is commendable.”
